Andover Town Band as an organisation was registered as a Charity in November 2010 our primary object as stated in our application to the Charity Commission is as follows:
To promote, improve, develop and maintain public education and appreciation of the art and science of music, particularly brass band music…
With this in mind the group has set itself a number of ongoing objectives including supporting other organisations and events by performing and on a number of occasions raising funds for other charitable causes to ensure the group reaches out to many different parts of the community.
